“Malawi history won’t recognize Chimulirenji as Vice President”-Chilima

Malawi Vice President and Tonse Alliance running mate Dr Saulos Chilima threw stones on deposed Vice president Everton Chimulirenji to stop spouting nonsense in Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) rallies that him (Chilima) is cause of his (Chimulirenji) current fate.

UTM leader made the remarks during Tonse alliance mega rally at Njamba in Blantyre.

Chilima reminded Chimulirenji that he did not expel him from the veep position but it was the courts.

He added that it was a mistake to call Chimulirenji a Vice president of Malawi.

Chilima made the remarks in Chichewa saying “Adzozi akulira mokuwa kwambiri, muwavesese a Malawi. Inuyo (referring to Chimulirenji) ngati amkati ndinu a vice president, inali mistake yayikulu kobasi

U vice president sumabwera mwadzidzi iyayi. Ndichifukwa unakuchokelaniso mwadzidzi. Ndipo sipazalembedwaso mu history ya dziko lino kuti munali vice president wa dziko”-

Chilima said Chimulirenji did nothing is his tenure as vice president of the country except answering to his boss Mutharika as “yes pulofesa” as such, history will not be able to recognize him as Vice president of the country.

He added that Chimulirenji could not even manage to be a vice president of DPP party.

Malawi is expected to hold fresh presidential elections in a month time following February 3, 2020 Constitutional Court nullification of May 21, 2019 polls.
