Man Burns His Pregnant Sister Alive

NIGERIA – The Lagos State Police arrested a young man identified as Chima for setting his pregnant sister on fire at their residence around CAC Bus Stop in Okokomaiko, Ojo, Lagos State.

Reports state that the trouble started after their mother scolded Victoria for leaving their home to stay with different men. The duo engaged in a serious argument and in the process, Victoria slapped her mother.

Angered by his sister’s action, Chima grabbed a keg filled with petrol and hit her with it. Most of the petrol poured on her body, which attracted a nearby fire leaving her with severe burns.

Victoria was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but the doctors rejected her saying that the case was more than they could handle. She was referred to the Alimosho General Hospital, Igando where she was confirmed dead.

Realising that he had done, Chima tried to run from the scene but was restrained by the community’s youths who handed him over to the police.
