Angie Kaliati dumps DPP, joins UTM

Former Member of Parliament for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Angie Dishoni Kaliati has dumped the party and followed her wife in United Transformation Movement (UTM).

UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati, a wife to Angie disclosed this during Tonse Alliance campaign rally held at Njamba freedom Park in Blantyre on Sunday.

While attacking Atupele Muluzi, a runningmate to President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Kaliati applauded her husband for following her in UTM.

“My husband has decided to follow me and support the Tonse Alliance unlike other politician who are failing to control their wives,” said Kaliati while attracting ululation from the crowd.

Angie Kaliati was once Member of Parliament for Mulanje Patsani.
