Chakwera, Chilima cheer UTM members torched by DPP cadets

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima were at Kamuzu Central Hospital to cheer UTM members who sustained injuries after thugs set ablaze UTM offices in Area 24 in Lilongwe.

The fire incident happened on Monday night, barely hours after Chilima accused the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) youth cadets of perpetrating violence ahead of the fresh Presidential polls.

The two leaders were escorted by some top party officials at the hospital.

“The State Vice-President and I just came out of Kamuzu Central Hospital, visiting UTM members who have been severely injured by DPP terrorists. This evil regime must end,” wrote Chakwera on his official facebook page after visiting the victims.
