MEET OWAMI AND OLWETHU SIKO THE TWINS WHO WERE ONCE MARRIED TO THE SAME MAN

Owami and Olwethu Siko are the twins who were once married to the same man, TV director Mzukiseni Mzazi when they were 21 years old.

Fast forward to 2020, the 30-year-old twins have since divorced the man.

Reaching new heights, they are now single and living life under different conditions.

There has been some mixed reactions to the divorce, with the community who were once against the idea of the marriage from the beginning, still being unsupportive of the twins being back home.

Owami and Olwethu were married to the man for 9 years and made the decision to get divorced after realising they had remained in the marriage because of their children,they both have 7 year old daughter’s with their ex-husband.

The divorce was a joint decision and they say they both wanted to get out of the marriage because they were both unhappy.

The twins say they now have goals they want to achieve unlike the tine they were married .

They say in the next five years they see themselves as successful entrepreneurs who will both walk down the aisle in their white wedding gowns, since they only had a traditional wedding in their previous marriage.

The twins say there will only be one groom on that day as they still share everything and will continue to do so, even in their future marriage they want to be together because they believe that they are “one soul”.

The twins describe themselves as “one soul”, they say that they are not looking to date other twins and should they find a man who is only interested in one of them, they would both decline the offer because, “You either take both of us or neither”,they said .

However the twins say if they find their ideal man, he would have to pay Lobola for both of them because although they are one soul, they are two individuals and their polygamy is unique as there is no first or second wife – they are equal wives.

They twins have pitched a reality show that will document their independent lives to production companies, but they say they are still waiting for an official response from the unknown production house.

For now the twins are hosting motivational events, empowering women across the country and hosting fitness events since it was the one thing that got them through their toxic marriage.
