Citizen for Transformation leader Timothy Pagonachi Mtambo has been denied access to the court where the Supreme Court of Appeal is delivering a ruling on the presidential polls case where President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) wants the court to overturn the Constitutional Court ruling.
Mtambo has been denied access to the court by Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers manning the entrance to the Supreme Court on grounds that his name is not on the attendance list.
Apart from Mtambo, United Transformation Movement (UTM) member Jessie Kabwila has also been denied access to the court room.
Meanwhile the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda is delivering the ruling on the matter.
