Presidential spokesperson, Mgeme Kalilani has rubbished growing speculation that President Peter Mutharika is not in good health hence his absence on the DPP-UDF Alliance campaign trail as the country heads for fresh presidential election.
According to Kalirani, President Mutharika is always in office; claiming some people are just so negative in their minds for political reasons.
But political analyst, Henry Chingaipe questions the secrecy behind health status of the country’s presidents; arguing citizens have the right to know because these are public officers.
President Mutharika has been silence since his convoy was stoned in Ndirande on his way back from Mount Soche where he presented his nomination papers for coming presidential election.
