Stalker Beaten to Death By Angry Villagers

A man was allegedly murdered by a group of villagers in Rampur, Medak area of Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old man was allegedly stalking a woman and was trying to prevent her marriage. The deceased was attacked by eight persons, the prime accused was identified as Nagaraju.

The deceased, identified as Narasimha Goud was a resident of Nizampur Mandal. On the day of the incident, the man was brutally thrashed by the accused in the fields.

On Wednesday, eight persons thrashed Narasimha in the fields using boulders and sticks. Narasimha passed away on the spot as he had sustained serious injuries.

The accused fled after Narasimha collapsed on the spot. At around 6.30 am, Narasimha’s father Rajaram Goud saw his son lying unconscious in the fields.

Initial investigation revealed that Narasimha and Nagaraju’s families had been fighting. Allegedly, Narasimha had been harassing and stalking a woman from Nagaraju’s family.

Last year, a case was registered against Narasimha for harassing the then 19-year-old girl. Narasimha had been booked under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Chandana Deepthi, Medak superintendent (SP) told The Times of India that recently, the 20-year-old woman’s marriage was fixed, following which, there was a fight between the two families.

Deepthi added that a case was filed against Narasimha for outraging the modesty of a woman.

Nagaraju and his allies were taken into custody after they bludgeoned Narasimha and a murder case was registered in relation to the incident.
