Amazing Joy C.A.P Choir releases second Album ‘Satana Khala Chete’

After being in hibernation for close to six years, Amazing Joy Kameza Church of Africa Presbyterian (C.A.P) Choir has resurfaced in the music industry with its second album titled “Sanata Khala Chete”.

Produced by Steve Meleka of Chilobwe Township in the commercial capital Blantyre, the album has ten tracks.

By just listening to the title track, one will appreciate the talent of the choir which comprises of youngsters with bright future in the music scene.

Another track which promises to be hit of the moment is “Kulibe bwenzi”. The song carries a strong message as it advises human beings to only trust in the Lord and not in fellow human beings who are full of disappointments.

Speaking in an interview with Faceofmalawi reporter, Amazing Joy Choir Director Lyson Nyimba could not hid his excitement following the release of the album.

“We have been quit in the music scene and others thought the choir is dead but am that we are back with a new album and the title of the album is “Satana Khala Chete”. We are now just doing final touches and it will hit the market soon,” said Nyimba.

Nyimba said the album has delayed to hit the market due to Coronavirus pandemic which has claimed four lives in the country.

“We anticipated that the album should be released somewhere in June of July but because of COVID-19 we are not sure as to when the pandemic will come to an end so that we can try come up with activities such as choir festivals so that people know of this new album,” said Nyimba.

He also promised to have a colorful launch as it was with the previous album which saw Great Angels Choir spicing up the launch at Ayoba Compound Hall.

Nyimba also hinted that the Choir will also release a DVD of its previous album titled “Anzanga Tiyeni”.

Concurring with Nyimba’s remarks, Amazing Joy C.A.P Choir Deputy Director Yonam Msumba was over the moon with the release of the second album.

Msumba then urged Malawians to support the choir by patronizing their show once the ban on public gathering imposed by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is lifted.

“My message to our fans is that support us by patronizing our shows. Amazing Joy C.A.P Choir is back with a bang and expects much more Entertainment from us this time around,” said Msumba.

On her part, lead singer Lennie Thomson Banda hailed her fellow choir members for trusting her to lead the choir.

Banda then appealed to Malawians to support the choir.

Some of the tracks in Satana Khala Chete album are Zikomo Mbuye, Moyo Wauzimu, Ndidzakhala Naye, Khala Chete, Paphiripo, Iza Olema, Mzimu Wanu, Thandizo Langa and Ndiyesu.

The Amazing Joy Kameza C.A.P Choir has 10 members, and it ventured into the music industry in 2014 with an aim of preaching to the world through singing.
