Katoto Secondary School stampede updates: 158 people injured

Information reaching Faceofmalawi indicates that 150 people are being treated in hospital following a stampede at Katoto Secondary School where multitudes walked in to attend interviews conducted by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health today conducted interviews in three regions of the country on the positions of HSAs Ward Clerks and Hospital attendants.

But in Mzuzu the situation turned ugly following a stampede that happened at Katoto Secondary school which left over 150 people injured.

Mzuzu Central Hospital spokesperson, Arnold Kayira confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

According to Kayira, one person is in critical condition.

He also refuted reports that some people have lost their lives in the stamped, saying the reports are untrue.
