Parliament set June 23 as a day for fresh Presidential polls

Parliament has finally set June 23 as the date for the fresh elections, amid protests from the government side.

The motion for setting the Presidential Elections date was moved by Mzimba North MP Yeremia Chihana and seconded by Lilongwe Mpenu MP, Eisenhower Mkaka.

The adoption of the date has caused commotion in the national assembly with members from the government side chasing First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo out of the House.
