Maid Found Dead And Stuffed In A 200-Litre Container

In a tragic twist of events, a 25-year-old woman from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe was found decomposing in a 200-litre drum after she died under mysterious circumstances at her employer’s house.

Bulawayo police are currently investigating the untimely death of one, Thabelo Mazolo who was employed as a maid by Lecbiotec, a privately owned Harare-based company that provides laboratory equipment and consumables for industrial laboratories.

Events leading to her death are currently shrouded in mystery following reports she was last seen on June 1 after she sent a text message to the informant and colleague informing him that she would not be in the property they stay together in till Sunday the 7th of June.

The two had been staying together in the same property while their employer is based in Harare.

It is reported the maid never reported back on Sunday as said and had not been reachable on her mobile phone since.

According to CITE, Thabelo’s body was only discovered by her colleague, the house caretaker this Wednesday morning after smelling a stench coming from her bedroom.

He reported the matter to ZRP Hillside station after which the police attended to the scene.

Upon gaining entrance into the bedroom, Thabelo’s lifeless body was discovered stuffed in a blue 200-litre container in a decomposing state.

The matter has been treated as murder, Bulawayo Police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed.

And a manhunt has already been launched on the alleged suspects and the police in Bulawayo is appealing to the members of the public to assist with information leading to the arrest of perpetrators.
