Kate Harawa replaces Steve Duwa at CONGOMA

Council for Non-Governmental Organization in Malawi (CONGOMA) has new Acting Chairperson Mrs. Kate Harawa.

Harawa replaces Steve Duwa who has been appointed as a commissioner for the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

This has been disclosed in a statement released few minutes ago made available to Faceofmalawi.

“Kindly be informed that CONGOMA has new acting Chairperson Mrs. Kate Harawa of Water for People. This follows the departure of the previous Chairperson, Mr. Steven Duwa from Pan African Civic Educators Network (PACENet) who has since assumed his duties as a Commissioner at the Electoral Commission after his appointment on same,” reads in part the statement.

The appointment of Harawa is with immediate effect.
