DPP Monitor arrested in Mzimba

A Monitor for the ruling Democratic Progressive party (DPP) at Mbalachanda TDC polling centre in Mzimba Central Constituency has been arrested.
The suspect was found with Six voter’s certificates and six National ID’s of other people.
The suspect has been identified as Mary Banda
Mzimba District Commissioner who is the MEC District returning Officer Emmanuel Bambe has confirmed the incidence in an interview.
“Yes Its true and I have advised the Police to place the said monitor into custody as we Investigate the issue, “he said.
The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is yet to comment on the matter.
