Atupele Asked to Reflect Before Making any Statement

Atupele Muluzi who was running-mate for Democratic Progress Party (DPP) – United Democratic (UDF) in the fresh presidential elections has been asked not to rush in making statements regarding the presidential polls.

Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo, who was Muluzi’s running-mate during May 21, 2019 presidential elections said this commenting on Muluzi’s Facebook post he made late last night.

When writing on his wall the young Muluzi said he will not accept the outcome of the presidential elections because they are nothing but a farce.

According to Muluzi the unofficial election results that are circulating on social media platforms which are showing that Tonse Alliance Torchbearer who is also Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera is winning are illegitimate.

Commenting on the post, Mwenifumbo, told Muluzi to be calm and reflecting at the same time respecting the people’s will.

“My brother keep cool and reflect…Make a statement at the right time not now. You will just earn hatred from the people you may need tomorrow. Respect the peoples will. I am begging you.” Comments Mwenifumbo.

In his remarks good governance commentator Makhumbo Munthali said the statement said by Mwenifumbo directed to Muluzi is quite comforting and full of wisdom.

According to reports, Mwenifumbo tried to reach out to Muluzi through his personal phone to pass the information but the young Muluzi could not pick up his phone.
