Chilima Promises to Die with Malawians Amid Assassination Reports

The running-mate for Tonse Alliance, Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima has promised all Malawians that he is ready to die together with them amid reports that some people are planning to assassinate him.

Chilima says those that are sending the assassins to be following him to wherever he is going, have their days numbered and will be part in the transformation of the new Malawi.

Speaking during his whistle stops campaign meetings in Rumphi , Dr. Chilima maintained his stand on fertilizer price saying if elected into power, The Chakwera – Chilima will reduce a bag of fertilizer to K4,495 for everyone to buy other than relying on coupons which have brought divisions and derailing development in the communities.

Dr. Chilima said chiefs have all the years been a subject of castigation by their subjects for hiding and distributing coupons to their family members saying time for chiefs to be out of this slavery has come to vote for Chakwera – Chilima leadership.

….” Some people are of the opinion of not going to vote because Chilima’s face is not on the ballot. Where you will see Dr. Chakwera’s face, Chilima is there, voting for Chakwera is the same as voting for Chilima,”.. said Dr. Chilima.

He appealed to the voters not to fear that their votes will again be stolen saying the partnership of Tonse Alliance is many and all have a duty to protect their votes from being stolen by crooks.

He asked the people to change their mindset that everything is possible saying Chakwera – Chilima leadership is not promising heavens and the moons but true developments.

He assured the people that Chakwera – Chilima leadership will maintain the road to Misuku hills and Phwezi – Chiweta road saying these roads have been receiving funding from Parliament but these have ended up landing in people’s pockets or transferring the projects from the North to Southern region of Malawi.

On President Mutharika who will be visiting the region flying by a helicopter, Dr. Chilima urged the Northerners to welcome him in the region, see the helicopters he has brought and on the 23rd June, no vote to him for destroying Malawi.

Lastly, he appealed to Malawians to defend their country from bad leaders and thieves saying on 23rd June, 2020 will be the time to get rid of them through the ballot.
