DPP social commentator Dave Namusanya congratulates Chakwera

Slowly but surely reality is catching up with youth cadets of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) as some have started congratulating President in-waiting Dr. Lazarus Chakwera of Tonse Alliance.

Many DPP youth cadets had hopes that President Peter Mutharika will again emerge victorious in the fresh polls basing on what they were writing on social media disparaging opposition political parties.

Some even went further by vowing that Malawi Congress Party (MCP) will never rule again the country and the results of the fresh polls is shocker to them.

Writing on his official facebook page Namusanya hailed Chakwera ascending to the high office.

“Congratulations to the winners. It’s all fair and square in a democracy.

“Today, and the days after, I personally reaffirm my support to the DPP and its vision which in the last years was sabotaged by forces within and without,” wrote Namusanya.

He added: “With the DPP, we have seen lowest moments and we have been awed by the recoveries from such hopeless depths. We hope again that from these ashes we shall recover and, most likely, well-learned and with clarity of purpose.

“This will be a long ride but for people who have survived assault on these streets, we will stand and demand what you demanded from the DPP.

“I look forward to new beginnings of a million jobs, MK5000 per bag of fertiliser, Mombela University, a city in Mangochi and the Mzuzu International airport as we ditch impunity, nepotism and tribalism in the dungeons of history; not forgetting a tax free on my first MK100,000.”

Meanwhile MEC is scheduled to announce official results any day this week.
