“The next time i appear for briefing, the commission will be announcing the results for the winner”- Kachale

The Chairperson of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Justice Chifundo Kachale has said it is their hope that the next time he appears for a briefing, the commission will be announcing the results for the winner.

Kachale made the remarks during a press briefing that the commission had at College of Medicine in Blantyre.

According to the Chairperson, the commission has managed to review 35% of the results.

The commission has delegated Mec’s Director of Communication and Public Relations Sangwani Mwafulirwa to be doing updates at 40% and 65%.

It has since announced results for some districts including Ntchisi, Rumphi and Mangochi.
