Zambian Politician Brands Malawi Veep Saulos Chilima ‘Politician of the Year’

Zambian politician who is also a Mayor for Lusaka Miles Sampa has admired the hardworking spirit of Malawi’s state vice president Saulos Chilima who is also a United Transformation Movement (UTM).

Writing on his Facebook page Sampa described Chilima as the politician of the year 2019/2020.

“My 2019/2020 Politician of the Year Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima of Lilongwe, Malawi, Africa. Strategist, Resilient, Orator and Charming,” writes Sampa.

This follows the role Chilima played in Malawi’s politics since he excused himself from the ruling Democratic progressive Party (DPP) in 2018 and formed his UTM.

Ever since Chilima joined active politics he has been the dearest of many and became the most popular politician in Malawi for his charisma and hardworking spirit he portrayed from the year 2018 up to date.

In most of his campaign rallies, Chilima made it clear to the DPP government that he is going to show them an exit door as he is on duty to make others triumphant.

On June 23, Malawians went to polls to elect a president following nullification of May 21, 2019 presidential elections.

Chilima was running-mate for Tonse Alliance torchbearer Lazarus Chakwera who is a winner of the fresh presidential polls according to unofficial results.

Malawi’s electoral body, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is yet to announce official results of the polls.
