One Democratic Progressive party (DPP) parliamentarian Chimwemwe Chipungu has taken another Noel Lipipa to court over allegations of defamation.
It is alleged that Lipipa accused Chipungu of misappropriating funds meant to pay DPP monitors in June’s fresh presidential election.
According to Chipungu, the accusation was made on a WhatsApp group for the DPP MPs.
In the court summon dated 3 July 2020, Lipipa has been ordered to file to the court his defense and list of documents within 28 days after the service of the summon and failing to do so, Chipungu may proceed with a further legal step.
