Lucius hails Chakwera for seeking God intervention on COVID-19 pandemic

United Transformation Movement (UTM) Campaign Director Lucius Banda has hailed President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is also leader of Tonse Alliance for seeking God intervention in the fight against Coronavirus in the country.

Chakwera has started a three days fasting and prayers against COVID-19 and has asked Malawians to join him in the prayers.

Writing on his official facebook page, Banda hailed the move taken by Tonse Alliance President and has urged Malawians to follow suit.

“In hopes for a better and brighter tomorrow, I further want to thank the His Excellency Dr. Lazarus Chakwera for asking the nation to join hands with him in the next three days for the days of fasting and prayer for our great nation.

“Yes, prayer is important to any nation and in anything we do, let us seek the guidance of God as we are seeing our leader of the Tonse Alliance doing,” wrote Banda.

He added: “I pray for those who will take the time out to join him for these three days for Malawi. I pray for healing not only for those who have tested positive for the Corona Virus but those who are sick. I pray for those who are in need of many things in and around there homes

“May God bless us all as we put our trust not only in the current government of the day but most of all in our Lord and savior.

“I will finish my post with the quote from the Holy Bible. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” -II Chronicles 7:14”

Malawi has so far recorded over 2000 cases of coronavirus with over 30 deaths.
