Man Beats Up Female Farm Workers In Humiliating Video

A humiliating video of a Zimbabwean man beating up his female employees, has surfaced on social media.

The video, which has since gone viral shows the man canning the ladies on the hand, with a thick, sinister looking sjambok.

The man who is yet to be identified, lines up the ladies, and delivers corporal punishment in what has been viewed as heavy handedness, when it comes to disciplinary measures.

It is not yet clear where the incident happened but the background setting resembles that of a farm or a plot.

The video, which was seen on Zim Celebs has drawn a lot of outrage from the masses, who viewed it as an issue of abuse, assault and as a degrading and outdated act.

It depicts a blast from the past when black laborers used to be whipped by foremen at white owned farms and sometimes by the white farm owners themselves, in Rhodesia, before the independence of of the country.

It is also reminiscent of the punishment meted out by teachers in schools, where teachers used to line up wayward pupils and deliver lashes onto their beings, including their hands.

Here are some comments from social media involving the scene.

“I think the problem is only that mudhara uyo akakura kare and ane mentality yemaTeacher yekuti beatin is the answer of which there are different sorts of punishments..DUH” (this old man has the old Teacher’s mentality that corporal punishment is is the answer to everything)

“l cried watching this Amana ibasa rei chaizvo rabva raita kut amai vemumwe munhu varowe coz vanonoka” (What kind of job is this which has resulted in someone’s mother being whipped and humiliated because she’s late)

“Nooo mhani ndiyani uyu anodawo shamhu ahhh dai mudhara uyo akarohwa nemheni* ( this man also needs a whipping himself and I hope he gets struck by lightning)
