Chikhwakhwa elected as new Chairperson for Mulanje District Council

Councillor Richard Chikhwakhwa has been elected as the new Chairperson of the Mulanje District Council.

Chikhwakhwa has replaced Councillor Isaac Blazio who has completed his two maximum consecutive terms.

His vice is Innocent Kaliati.

In a related development, Dedza District Council has elected Councillor Themuka Nkhwewu as it’s new chairperson and Councillor Bornface Nedi as Vice Chairperson.

The new chairperson told ZodiaK Online that he will make sure that all development projects that stalled in the district were completed for the benefit of the residents.

According to Nkhwewu, he will also make sure that the funds that the district is receiving are being utilised for the benefit of the rural masses.
