Climate Change Young Leaders express worry over poor mask management

Climate Change Young Leaders through David Samikwa has expressed worry over the poor management of facemasks as a tendency has hit a climax in the country.

Samikwa says there is need to strike a balance between the use of masks and a threat that poor disposal of the masks is causing to the environment.

“It is worrisome, to see how Malawians are disposing face masks in the streets and their residences. We are making cause that this trend is ended,” said Samikwa.

The call also comes when environmentalists are also pushing for a full implementation of a ban on thin plastics.
