Man in Mchinji arrested for allegedly masterminding theft cases and by-pass Escom meters

A 30 year old man in Mchinji district has been arrested for allegedly masterminding theft cases and by pass of ESCOM meters.
The suspect, Isaac Duncan impersonating an ESCOM employee allegedly by-passed an electricity meter for a maize mill.
Duncan then demanded K50,000 as an equivalent amount of units he claimed have loaded.
His arrests comes as the parastatals has embarked on a crackdown of illegal connections after losing millions of kwacha in revenue.
