Man hangs himself to death in Kasungu

A 48 year old man identified as Lameck Kazota has hanged himself in tobacco shed over marital issues.

According to the report given by Emmanuel Kazota, a brother to the deceased, the wife to the deceased left home some three weeks ago to take care of her daughter who was admitted at Kamuzu Central Hospital .

Lameck Kazota noticed that the time was passing without his wife coming back home. He then started calling his wife to come back home and leave the patient a thing which some relatives and other concerned citizens were against.

This did not go well with him and during the night of 16-17 August , 2020 he sneaked into the tobacco shed where he hanged himself to death.

He left a suicide note in which he advised relatives where they could find his body.

Postmortem conducted revealed that death was due to strangulation.

Lameck Kazota hailed from Sungani village, in the area of Chief Mawawa in Kasungu district.
