Covid 19: People living with HIV  must follow covid 19 Measures 

With the number of people dying with Covid-19 passing 120, the Malawi Network of People Living with HIV and Aids (Manet+) has said some people living with HIV are among people who have died from the contagion.

Manet+ Executive Director Lawrence Khonyongwa has said considering that people living with HIV are also losing their lives due to Covid-19, they must ensure that they follow all set precautionary measures to ensure they remain safe.

“We are asking people living with HIV to take into consideration and adhere to all the rules and regulations set up to curb Covid-19 because HIV is one of the underlying factors which means that people living with HIV are vulnerable to the infection and they can die of Covid-19,” Khonyongwa said.

Data released by the Public Health Institute of Malawi shows that locally transmitted cases are three times more than imported cases.
