The ruling party executive members in Guinea has nominated the incumbent President Alpha Conde to contest in controversial third term in October’s general election.

Conde successfully amended the country’s Constitution to allow him to go for the third time.

However, the bill was boycotted by the opposition side in Parliament in March this year.

Conde has been the Guinea president since 2010.
