Chiputula Ward Councillor Hiwet Mkandawire joins UTM

Ward Councillor for Chiputula Hiwet Mkandawire has joined the United Transformation Movement (UTM), a party in Tonse Alliance under President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Mkandawire joined the party together with Chibavi West ward Councilor.

The two were welcomed into the party by UTM top officials on Wednesday, according to media reports.

Since ascending to power, UTM and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) top officials have been busy on the ground welcoming people from opposition political parties.

Political analysts have since warned Tonse Alliance to trade carefully on people being welcomed.
