Mzimba Registers 99% Covid-19 Recovery

As the fight against Coronavirus Pandemic is still progressing in the country, Mzimba district has registered a 99% recovery rate of Covid-19 patients.

Health official in the district have confirmed the development saying only one person is remaining in their isolation treatment unit.

Acting District Health and Social Services Director Dr. Prince Chirwa attributed the development to the support from non-state actors in the district which has registered 147 cases and three deaths.

The remarks were made today, Friday when FINCA Malawi supported the main hospital with assorted essentials in the fight against Covid-19 that includes disinfectants and hand sanitizers.

FINCA Marketing Officer Tiyamike Chirwa said the same support has been extended to Mchinji District Hospital.

Ina related development, Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) and Mzuzu have both registered a 100 percent recovery rate of Covid-19 patients.

So far the country’s recovery has surpassed 50%.
