Chisenjere First Grade Magistrate George Chimombo has ordered a 52 year old man to pay a fine amounting to K250, 000 or in default serve a 2 year jail term for three counts he committed.
Chileka Police Spokesperson Sub Inspector peter Mchiza confirmed of the development and identified the man as Joseph Milanzie.
According to Mchiza, Milanzie assaulted a court clerk who was serving him a summon over land dispute.
Adding to that he faced the count of malicious damage as it is reported that he (Milanzie) tear apart the summon presented to him by the court clerk.
And lastly he obstructed a court officer during his official duties.
When delivering his ruling, Magistrate Chimombo said the sentence should serve as a warning to would be offenders.
