Nankhumwa invade Blantyre with public rally amid leadership squabbles in DPP

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also leader of opposition will this coming Sunday hold a public rally at Bangwe Desert Ground in Blantyre.

The rally comes amid leadership squabbles locking the party where some top officials are agitating for the firing of Nankhumwa as leader of opposition.

The attempt failed to materialize in Parliament on Wednesday when the First Deputy Speaker Madalitso Kazombo maintained Nankhumwa as leader ignoring Peter Mutharika’s proposal on the matter.

According to the poster seen by this publication, the rally will start at 1pm and Nankhumwa will be the guest speaker at the rally.

Apart from Nankhumwa, Regional Governor for the South Charles Mchacha will be in attendance.

The rally will be spiced up by live performance from the dancing machine Skeffa Chimoto and Joseph Mkasa.
