The law enforcers are yet to arrest Chief Commercial Officer of the Medical Aid Society of Malawi (Masm), Andrew Ngomwa suspected of defiling his niece who is less than 16 years old.
This is contrary to social media reports indicating that Ngomwa is in cooler over the matter.
Blantyre Police Public Relations Officer, Augustus Nkhwazi confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying Ngomwa is still at large at the moment.
According to Nkhwazi,the girl’s mother filed a report on 21 September at the police station, exposing that Ngomwa was defiling the girl.
As such, police have opened a rape case against Ngomwa.
Apart from defiling his niece, Ngomwa infected the victim with Human Infection Virus (HIV) a virus which causes AIDS.
Meanwhile the law enforcers have launched a manhunt.
