Parliamentary deliberations suspended prematurely due to intermittent water supply

First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Madalitso Kazombo suspended deliberations in the house prematurely due to intermittent water supply.

The development followed a request from Mulanje Bale Victor Musowa who asked for early adjournment over the matter.

Reacting to the requesting before adjourning the house, Kazombo said the problem has arisen due to a pipe which has burst and it is located behind the Building and that currently officials are fixing the problem.

The lawmakers are currently on Committee of Supply of the 2020/2021 national budget whereby they are scrutinising the budgetary allocation vote by vote.

Meanwhile the house has approved four allocations including that of Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) and Roads Authority.
