Bagus joins MCP

Member of Parliament (MP) for Chikwawa Central Constituency, Salim Bagus,has joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), a party in Tonse Alliance of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Bagus recently dumped the Democratic Progressive Party where he served as Minister of Tourism and Trade.

He was unveiled at Ngabu Sports Club by Peter Simbi, Southern Region Chairperson of the party and Abida Mia, who is MCP legislator for Chikwawa Nkombezi Constituency.

Since Tonse Alliance of Dr. Chakwera and Dr. Saulos Chilima ascended to power after the June 23, 2020 fresh Presidential polls, several people from opposition political parties have defected to the Alliance.
