All is set for the hearing of a bribery case involving business tycoon Thom Mpinganjira at the Blantyre High Court today.

Chief prosecutor ACB Director Rayneck Matemba and Mpinganjira’s defence lawyer Patrice Nkhono are already at the court.

The accused, flanked by his cousin, politician Brown Mpinganjira, is also at the court.

Mpinganjira is being accused of attempting to bribe Constitutional Court judges that presided over the 2019 presidential election case.

The court last week revoked bail for Mpinganjira after asking for plea bargain which was accepted by the presiding Judge.

But the state through Matemba of ACB protested the plea bargain.
