UTM Candidate Frank Mwenefumbo cast his vote in Karonga

Voting is currently underway in certain part of the country where the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is administering by-election and one of the said constituencies is Karonga Central.

This is the highly contested constituency where the main battle is between Frank Tumpale Mwenefumbo of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) and Leonard Mwalwanda of Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Mwenefumbo has already voted at Mwenilondo Polling Centre. He was accompanied by his wife.

The Constituency fail vacant following the death of the member of Parliament for the area Dr. Cornelius Mwalwanda few months ago.

Five candidates are contesting the seat namely Frank Mwenifumbo- UTM, Leornard Mwalwanda- MCP, Florence Nthakomwa-Independent, Nellie Sichali- Mbakuwaku and Ernest Mwalughari,- DPP.
