Woman Stabs Niece With Kitchen Knife, Sucks Blood.

Zimbabwe – In a bizarre incident that took place in the City of Mutare, a 25-year-old woman allegedly stabbed to death her 9-month-old niece and shockingly sucked blood from its corpse.

The incident that shocked many occurred at house number 5274 Dangamvura Area 3 on Tuesday morning 10 November. Natasha Mukwenje, the suspect, was left in the custody of her younger sister’s nine-month-old baby purportedly stabbed the child to death with a kitchen knife.

The shocked neighbours quickly linked the case to Satanic rituals.

Manicaland police spokesman, Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa, confirmed the incident and said Natasha Mukwenje has been charged with murder.

“The suspect is currently detained at Dangamvura Police Station and she will be taken to court soon. She is facing murder charges. Investigations are in progress to ascertain what actually took place,” said Inspector Kakohwa.

According to Manica Post, Mukwenje was left with the child – Anashe while the mother Charlotte Vongai Muromba (22) went to fetch water. When Charlotte returned home a while later she got the fright of her seeing her child’s lifeless body dripping blood from her neck

Mukwenje refused to hand over the child Muromba who then called out for help from neighbours. According to a witness Mukwenje had blood on her mouth as she firmly held on to the deceased child.

“She had blood on her mouth and we quickly concluded that she had sucked it from the child. Her eyes were vicious and her silence was scary. I have never seen anything like that before. She was firmly holding the corpse and refused to hand it over. I was really scared,” she said.

According to witnesses on the scene of the gruesome murder, Mukwenje let go of the child after divine intervention from a local prophet.

“A prophet who lives nearby was called to help and after doing some prayers, the suspect finally let go of the child. The young girl was rushed to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival,” said one of the witnesses.

Close neighbours said Mukwenje has always been a strange woman who exhibited wild behaviour.

“She is an unusual character and I wouldn’t want to leave my child in her custody,”
