Police in Dowa have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly sodomising four boys aged between 10 to 17.
Dowa Police Spokesperson, Sub-inspector Gladson M’bumpha, has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspect as Innocent Poita.
According to M’bumpha, the suspect allegedly committed the offence between 2016 and November 2020 in the area of Traditional Authority Chiwere in Dowa District.
This apparently happened when the boys were watching films from the suspect’s phone.
M’bumpha said a medical report for one of the boys shows that he has sexual transmitted infections.
