A 56-year-old woman has reportedly died in Dedza after unknown people crashed her head with a stone as she was sleeping on her veranda due to hot temperatures.
Police have confirmed the sad incident and identified the victim as Iness Kamkuza.
According to Dedza deputy police spokesperson, Cassim Manda, the woman’s husband was quoted as saying, “i heard a sound of something fallen with a thump only to find later that my wife’s head was in a pool of her blood and a big stone beside her.”
Iness has become the 46th murder victim in the district since January this year.
She hailed from Nazikhale village in the area of Traditional Authority Kachindamoto in Dedza.
