Police in Kira Division in Kampala, Uganda, have arrested a house help, Mary Abia, who was feeding her boss’ child her urine.
Hope Chica the mother of the child told police she became suspicious after she went into the maid’s room and found a bottle filled up with her urine.
“Upon interrogation, she confessed that she was giving my daughter her urine,” Chica told police.
It remains unclear why the house help had resorted to this beastly act.
Chica noted that the maid was new and that she had hardly spent a month with her.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson confirmed they had arrested the maid and that they had charged her with spreading dangerous disease after tests on the child proved that it had been infected by a urinary tract infection.
Abi is still being detained at Kira Division as police carry out more tests on the child.
In July 2014, 22-year-old Jolly Tumuhiirwe was arrested, charged and convicted after being caught on camera torturing an 18-month-old child.
