A woman identified only as Ashi, is currently cooling off behind bars after she allegedly set fire to her boyfriend in his room.
According to reports reaching us, the woman had carried out the dastardly act after she discovered that the victim had no intentions of marrying her.
Scorned by the knowledge that he didn’t want a future with her, Ashi reportedly set her lover ablaze right inside his residence at Gboko, Benue State.
It was gathered that the victim, who couldn’t be identified at press time, sustained various degrees of burn injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a clinic in Gboko.
Unfortunately, his house was completely destroyed by the fire, according to photos shared by an eyewitness.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested by men of the police command in the state and is presently helping the police with their investigation.
