Woman kills cheating hubby with brick, hangs body on tree to escape justice

In Zimbabwe, a jilted woman allegedly killed her husband with a brick before hanging the body on a tree to make it look like he committed suicide.

Zim Trending reports that Tabeth Mutungwa (45)  allegedly killed her husband Webster Zhuwaka by striking his head with a brick after she accused him of cheating on her.

Mutungwa was not asked to plead when she appeared before Magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa facing murder charges.

It is the state’s case that on the 8th of December, Mutungwa and her now-deceased husband had an altercation after she accused her husband of cheating on him. The altercation turned violent as Mutungwa started to attack Zhuwaka with a brick.

“On December 8 the accused had an altercation with her husband Webster Zhuwaka after accusing him of having an extramarital affair. Mutungwa became violent and fatally assaulted Zhuwakawith bricks,” said Prosecutor Carson Kundiona.

Mutungwa allegedly tried to conceal the crime by dragging her husband’s body from the scene and hung it on a tree, to mislead investigators into thinking her husband committed suicide.

“To conceal her act she dragged Zhuwaki’s body and hung it from a tree,” Kundiona added.

During investigations, the police found bloodstained clothes in the house and bricks used in committing the crime.

She was charged with murder, Guruve Magistrate denied her bail and advised her to apply for bail at the high court.
