Chimwenda Banda speaks out on slain Poly Student Blessings Nyondo

Minister of Homeland Security, Richard Chimwendo Banda, has called for patience from the general public as Independent Police Commission and Malawi Human Rights Commission investigate shooting of a Polytechnic student, Blessings Nyondo.
He was shot during the night of December 31st, 2020 in Blantyre.
Banda told journalists in Blantyre this afternoon that Nyondo was not shot by police but security officer of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation. Nyondo died on Saturday.
Nyondo died on Friday at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital where he was admitted after the shooting incident.
