Lucius shocked with Mia’s death

Presidential Advisor on Arts Lucius Banda has expressed shock over the untimely death of Minister of Transport and Public Works Muhammad Sidik Mia.

Mia died of COVID-19 this morning together with Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Lingson Belekanyama.

writing on his official facebook page, Banda described the death Mia as big blow to Malawians.

“It’s never easy to lose someone we love. But often, a loss that no one saw coming can lead to complicated grief. I’m not sure what to say in the face of such a difficult loss to the nation.

“Hon Sidik Mia was a great man, humble and loving. A father to many. He was an asset to the state and a natural-born leader.His death is a very big blow to our nation,” wrote Banda

He added: “My heartfelt condolences to his family, Malawi Congress Party and to all those that have been affected by the loss. Find heart and comfort in God’s hands. I mourn with you.”

Meanwhile President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is set to address the nation on the matter.
