Prophet arrested for fake prophecy on child found dead in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe have arrested a Prophet for allegedly releasing a fake prophecy regarding a missing boy which was found dead in Lingazi river.

The prophet has been identified as Kelvin Mwenyeheli, 40, of Christ Life Assembly Church Area 36.

It is reported that relatives of the missing boy went to the Prophet and he told them that their child was being kept in the rich neighbour house for rituals.

The development results into chaotic scene as the family ganged up together with well-wishers and invaded the house of the said woman, baying for her blood.

The angry mob demolished the house of the said woman. The group later on attacked Chipiku shop.

Police had to use teargas to calm down the situation but the intervention yielded nothing.

The law enforcers say the Prophet will answer charges of inciting violence.
