Chakwera to be installed as Chancellor of Mzuni tomorrow

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will on Friday be installed as Chancellor for the Mzuzu University (Mzuni) and later on virtually preside over the 22nd graduation ceremony.

Mzuni Registrar Yonam Ngwira confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

This is in line with the Mzuni Act Number. 12 of 1997.

“The same will be streamed live online on the Mzuzu University website: www.mzuni.ac.mw, Mzuzu University Facebook page (linked to the website)…. Additional platforms may be added,” the statement reads.

Ngwira adds that all Covid prevention measures would be adhered to during the live hosting of the event.

Initially, the graduation was scheduled to take place on January 10 but it was called off due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
