Health Minister Warns Of Selling Covid-19 Vaccine

Minster of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has warned of selling the Covid-19 vaccine, saying the vaccine is for free.

Kandodo Chiponda said this today in Zomba at Zomba Statehouse, Covid-19 Field Hospital in Which President Lazarus Chakwera was presiding over the launch of Covid-19 Field Hospital.

Kandodo Chiponda further warned health workers against selling the vaccine saying that the vaccine is meant for all Malawians at no cost.

She also urged health workers to follow the protocols and guidelines for administration of the vaccine and not getting the vaccine to their family ahead of time.

Chiponda insists that there will be enough Covid-19 vaccine doses for everyone.

Health workers shall be the first priority.

Kandodo Chiponda has also dispelled rumors that the vaccine is meant to harm people and myth that it can make one impotent.

Meanwhile, Malawi’ first citizen, Lazarus Chakwera and his wife Monica Chakwera have received the first dose of the covid-19 vaccine saying that the next dose for them will be ready after 8-12 weeks.
