Zimbabwe: Mother Murders Own Biological Son With Help Of Other Son, Bury Body In Their Yard

In a shocking case reported from Zimbabwe, a 55-year-old woman connived with her 32-year-old son to get rid of and murder her other son accusing him of being violent and abusive.

Tracy Samantha Carr and her son Norman Tyron Carr appeared in court facing charges of murdering Dylan Michael Carr, Tracy’s biological son and Norman’s biological brother.

According to court papers, on an unknown date but during the month of January 2021, Tracy and Norman plotted to murder Dylan whom they accused of being violent and abusive due to drug abuse.

It is the State’s case that Tracy Samantha Carr gave her licenced 7.65 Tanfoglio pistol to Norman Tyron Carr who then shot and killed the now deceased. In order to conceal the matter, the accused mother and son wrapped the body of the deceased with a blanket and buried him in a shallow grave which they dug behind their garage within their yard in Borrowdale.

Tracy then took the murder weapon and hid it at her business premises at Lewisan Motors.

The State further alleges that after the offence was discovered, the two led the police to where the body of Dylyn Michael Carr was recovered in a shallow grave in their Borrowdale residential yard.

The court also heard that Tracy Samantha Carr lead to the recovery of the murder weapon which she had hidden at her business premises. Lancelot Mutsokoto appeared for the State.

The two were not asked to plead when they appeared before Harare magistrate Richard Mangosi charged with murder.

They were advised to approach the High Court for bail application.
