Vice president Saulos Chilima has joined the state President Lazarus Chakwera in mourning the departed true son of Africa, John Pombe Magufuli who was the president for the Republic of Tanzania.
Magufuli passed on yesterday due to heart complications according to the country’s vice president Samia Suluhu Hasan.
In a statement seen by this publication from the vice president and his wife Mary, said that Magufuli labeled as Africa’s gigantic inspiration has been snatched to God’s glory, expect too soon.
“The beacon of hope to a renaissance in African patriotism and self-determination departs to be with the Lord,” read part of the statement.
He added; “Our thoughts are with our brothers and sisters in Tanzania in these devastating moments. We hold on to the faith that the journey you embarked on is continued by generations yonder”
Magufuli has died at the age of 61.
